Block Process

Block printing is a traditional process where artisans carve intricate designs into wooden blocks, which are then stamped onto fabric with vibrant dyes. Each block represents a single color or part of the pattern, and the process involves careful inking, pressing, and repeating to create unique, handcrafted designs. The fabric is then dried, set, and washed for a final, quality finish.

Block Print Process

Block printing is a traditional method where artisans carve intricate designs into wooden blocks. These blocks are dipped in dye and stamped onto fabric to create patterns. Each block represents a single color or section of the design, and the process is repeated for multi-color prints. After printing, the fabric is dried, set with heat, and washed to fix the color, ensuring a vibrant, long-lasting finish. This technique results in unique, handcrafted textiles.

Fabric Dry

After the coloring process, the fabric undergoes a crucial drying stage. It is carefully laid out in a well-ventilated area to air-dry, ensuring the colors set properly. Once dry, the fabric may undergo a steaming process to further fix the colors and enhance the vibrancy. This stage ensures the dyes are fully absorbed, preventing fading and ensuring a long-lasting finish for the printed fabric, ready for use in various applications.

Fabric Dye Process

The fabric dyeing process begins with preparing the fabric by washing it to remove any impurities. The dye is then mixed with water or other fixatives to achieve the desired color. The fabric is immersed in the dye solution, where it absorbs the color evenly. Afterward, the fabric is left to set for a specified time to allow the dye to bond with the fibers. The fabric is then rinsed, dried, and sometimes steamed to fix the color, ensuring a long-lasting, vibrant finish.
